First Step Act Of 2018

FSA offers a variety of services to attorneys endeavoring to shorten the Bureau Of Prisons incarcerative prison terms for their clients, under the First Step Act Of 2018, the Second Chance Reauthorization Act Of 2018, and other statutory authorities available during the pendency of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

These services include the drafting of Bureau Of Prison Requests for an inmates release or transfer to home confinement under the following statutory authorities:

 

Compassionate Release Request, 18 U.S.C. § 3582(c)(1)(A)

 

Pilot Program Transfer To Home Confinement Request, 34 U.S.C. § 60541(g)

 

Emergency 30-Day Furlough Request, 28 C.F.R. §§ 570.30-570.38

 

Emergency Request For COVID-19 Home Quarantine

 

FSA’s services to attorneys also include drafting Emergency Petitions to be filed with the United States District Court for Compassionate Release, Mandamus, and Habeas Corpus, regarding COVID-19 exigencies, pursuant to the First Step Act Of 2018.
